Building young people who are whole.

This is what balance looks like.

Mizani works with teens, pre-teens and educators across Kenya. Through mentorship camps, holistic wellness sessions and teacher training, we help young people grow strong in body, mind, heart and community, and help their communities build a regenerative future.

Introducing Mizani

Hear it from our founder.

A balance of the whole person.

In one minute, Kate explains why Mizani looks after the whole person during a young person's formative years: their physical, social, emotional and mental health, so they know who they are and can thrive in their community and in society.

Kate, founder of MizaniOne minute on why balance matters for every young person.
Who we are

Mizani is Swahili for balance. Balance is our life's work.

We believe a young person who is physically strong, emotionally grounded, socially connected and mentally clear has what they need to change their world.

"We are not trying to fix young people. We are creating the conditions for them to become fully themselves."

What we do

Three programs. One mission.

Every program is built around the whole person and shaped by the 4Cs: Culture, Community, Commerce and Conservation.
